Notes On Motherhood —
The feeling of holding my own creation in my arms is one that I’m very familiar with, although it’s different when it has a beating heart and eyers that stare straight into your soul.
The explosion of joy I can only try to explain has imprinted my heart in immeasurable ways.
My changing mind and body feel so unknown yet I remain unafraid. The mothers who have come before me have lifted me up.
“Welcome to Motherhood” is what they tell me.
The nights that feel like they’ll never end and are quickly forgotten the moment my baby smiles at me.
The colorful moments are the ones I’ve chosen, finding the joys and leaning into the chaos.
“Mom”, a title I’ve wanted and prayed for and finally earned— the most difficult and rewarding one that’s for sure <3
