On our trip to Italy, we spent our first evening in Parma. It was my first time visiting this city. I’ll never forget the walk we took to explore Parma; the streets were so beautiful and quiet. We always seemed to walk during “siesta” when most of the city’s businesses were closed — the streets were calm during this time. I’m so fascinated by the “norm” of European culture and it’s ability to “slow down” in contrast with the “hustle” of American culture.

We stayed in an apartment owned by one of the locals who was so sweet and welcoming. I looked down the street to see this gorgeous view of the street we stood in before we entered the apartment. It was peaceful, empty and serene. As soon as I looked down the street, I knew that it was a painting in the making.

Varying brush strokes were used to create the texture and character of “Siesta In Parma”. The acrylic painting is continued on to its edges which equates to a frame thickness of 1.5” and will add depth to any room in your home.
